Jill joined the Talklink Auckland team in 2007 and works part-time from the sunny Bay of Plenty. Jill has a BHSc (Occupational Therapy) and is currently studying for her Masters degree in Health Science. She has a special interest in hand function and also works as a hand therapist. This interest and knowledge of hand function enables her address access issues creatively.
Jill has a wide range of experience in the community and disability sectors working with people with physical, intellectual and age related disabilities in the health and injury sectors. Jill is a keen problem solver and believes that this is pivotal to the role of the occupational therapist in assistive technology. Jill’s interest in Assistive Technology grew as she has worked alongside clients and Talklink to find alternative methods of communication and she is excited about being part of the team.
