If you live in Tai Tokerau and meet TalkLink staff, chances are that Linda (Lindy) Levien will be one of them. Lindy has many years’ experience as a special educator and Speech-Language Therapist. Her origins are Kiwi, but she has worked in New Zealand, Australia and Canada during her career. Her family origins are in Northland and she is very pleased to be living and working in Tai Tokerau again, based in Whangarei.
Lindy comes to her work in assistive technology and augmentative communication with a strong focus on the individual, their family and the community in which they live. She likes to use the group and cultural wisdom that surround an individual to form the platform from which help can be launched.
