Time to Upgrade your V or Vmax !

Tip of the Month :   June 2011

It is time to upgrade your software on your V or Vmax.  The latest software release includes:

• Smart Text Entry
• Smart Zoom feature
• Smart Highlight
• Mouse Over (setting for the mouse pause and eye tracking selection methods)
• New warning for low battery
• Increase in custom recording time to 10 minutes
• New backlight timeout options
• Updated Bluetooth Devices menu
• Updated Wireless Network menu
• New Photo Album Browser menu
• New Camera menu
• Option for photos to be included in backup
• Change in the Select a Symbol menu to include Photo Album Browser

Instructions for doing your upgrade:

To check which version you are running

• Select (click on) the Main Menu button in the title bar
• Select Help
• Select About (this will give you this dialogue box showing the Version Info.  If your version info says 1.07.1 then you are running the correct software.  If your version info says anything else then you will need to do an upgrade).

To upgrade your Series 5 software

• Ensure your device is connected to the internet and the power supply is plugged in
• Select (click on) the Main Menu button in the title bar
• Select Setup
• Select System Settings
• Select DynaVox Upgrade (your upgrade will now be downloaded automatically, it may take around ½ hour to complete)

NOTE: Don’t forget to upgrade your editing software as well !
