We are seeking a dynamic, confident and highly organised manager to run our South Island service operating from Christchurch. This position includes management and operational responsibilities and would suit a person with assistive technology skills who has had some management or team leader experience.
The TalkLink Trust is a not-for-profit organisation providing specialist services in Assistive Technology/Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) throughout New Zealand. TalkLink works with both adults and children who experience difficulty with spoken and/or written communication.
If you are a therapist (OT or SLT), education professional, or technician with experience in assistive technology, and are seeking a rewarding role, then this position could be for you. The successful applicant will lead a highly skilled inter-disciplinary team. The role will also involve direct client work relevant to the applicant’s background and skills. Knowledge of and experience with Ministry of Health and ACC services is helpful but not essential. Ministry of Health Communication Assistive Technology Level 1 or 2 assessor credentialling, is preferred but not essential. On the job training and support will be provided. Driving requirements are necessary so applicants must have a current driver’s license. Experience in working with people from different cultures is desirable.
